Orville Peck Chicago Concert reviews
MDNA Show was great...but should have been on time
The show was scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. However, nothing appeared on the stage until approximately 9:30 when D.J. Mike Okenfold performed. Despite being slightly better than nothing, watching a D.J. was not particularly exciting. The arena, with still 40% vacant seats, seemed lackluster. Following the D.J.'s performance, there was another period of nothing for about 40 minutes until the MDNA show finally kicked off around 11 p.m.
The opening was powerful and the show was fantastic overall. Unfortunately, the delayed start lessened the experience for me and forced many to depart early, likely anticipating returning home or to bed much earlier.
It seems that the previous night's show commenced half an hour later, making us somewhat luckier.
